Who can participate?
Students of all linguistic disciplines are welcome to present at the ÖSKL. The fifth ÖSKL will be held at the English Department of the University of Vienna, rather than a general/comparative linguistics division. Taking this as a cue, we want to invite students of linguistics from all academic backgrounds (language departments and departments of linguistics alike) to attend the conference in order to collaborate and to broaden our understanding of languages and language. If you are interested in presenting at the conference, please compile your submission in accordance with the criteria outlined in our Call for Papers and send it to oeskl2012@gmail.com by October the 14th at the latest.
Earlier submission is, of course, possible – especially for those participants that come from abroad and need to finalize their traveling plans at an earlier date. Please, contact us as soon as possible, if you need assistance applying for a visa, etc.!
It is, of course, also possible to only sit in on the conference, listen to the presentations and join in on the debates. Please, register as a guest via email to oeskl2012@gmail.com so that we can prepare accordingly.
